Students benefit from working with successful artists,  increasing not only their abilities, but providing them with one of a kind experiences and connectivity to our local community . Each year students celebrate Harvest Day, a fall workshop, where they enjoy painting, working with clay, and storytelling. Students also have a spring workshop in varying mediums determined each year through an arts grant awarded by Jordan Lake School of the Arts. We encourage local artists to visit our Community Fundraising page for additional information. Some past recipients include Gaines Steer of The Last Unicorn, Yoma Yoga, Paperhand Puppet Intervention, and photographer Mary Berridge.

Jordan Lake Creative Center (JLCC) is the non-profit 501 (c)3 organization that provides individualized
skill building and vocational training programs to Jordan Lake School of the Arts (JLSA) alumni and eligible JLSA students.
Through JLCC, these individuals participate in activities such as learning marketable trades as an entry into the workforce,
gaining financial literacy and other life skills, and providing supported employment training – all with the purpose of
helping participants learn valuable workforce and life skills on their way to becoming more independent.
